Non-partisan Public Education Advocacy groups

Center for Public Policy Priorities: The Benedictine Sisters of Boerne, Texas, founded CPPP in 1985 to advance public policy solutions for expanding access to health care. We became an independent, tax-exempt organization in 1999, and over time our focus has expanded to include economic opportunity and fiscal policy. We envision a Texas where everyone is healthy, well-educated, and financially secure. We want the best Texas - a proud state that sets the bar nationally by expanding opportunity for all.

Just Fund It Texas:  Just Fund It TX is a growing non-partisan group of parents, students, and community members across Texas with one message for our state legislators – Do the right thing and adequately fund public education!

Raise Your Hand Texas: Supports public policy solutions that invest in our students, encourage innovation and autonomy, and improve college and workforce readiness.

Texans Advocating for Meaningful Student Assessments: A statewide, grassroots organization of concerned parents who support a more reasoned approach to student testing. Our mission is to improve public education in Texas through the use of meaningful and effective student assessments that allow for a more productive classroom instruction and more efficient use of public funds.

Texans for Public Education: A group advocating on behalf of Texas Public Schools, schoolchildren, and teachers. This group provides ratings indicating how friendly Texas’s elected representatives are toward public education.
