Background Check Requirement

The safety of our students is important to us and Austin ISD requires all direct contact volunteers to submit their information for an annual background check. ALL VOLUNTEERS need to complete the background check every year before volunteering for anything on campus, class field trips, etc.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (07/24/2024): Austin ISD is rolling out a new background check system launching on August 8th, 2024. Starting on August 8, 2024, Austin ISD’s volunteer management platform will open for registrations. Specific volunteer opportunities and campus programs will begin accepting applications on August 15, 2024. To volunteer, you can sign up on Austin ISD’s new platform here.
